Christmas Countdown

Wow ...where did Christmas come from...It's just around the corner and I demand a recount...wasn't it just July? Wasn't I just in California? Time has really gone by quick this year. I have most of my Christmas shopping done... I just need to buy my brothers gift (and I already figured out what I am getting him) so it's just a matter of getting to the mall to buy it. I also have some Christmas Baking to do this week (which surprizingly I'm not as excited about as I usually am) I'm sure that will change one I am mixing and sifting and preheating up a storm.

I was going to have a get together for my friends but since there really aren't too many more weekends before the holidays and everyone has a million things going on I have decided to have it in January (this will prevent a repeat of last year when everyone but 1 person showed up) AFTER I had already made the food.

Friends and family have asked me what I would like for Christmas and some years I have a hundred things I want...this year I got nothin' Well that's not exactly true I want to replace my digital camera but I decided that is my gift to myself...from me...to me...with love. (can we say YIPPEE for Christmas Bonus Pay)

I still have all of my gifts to wrap and all of my cards to write....ahhhhhhh (I feel better now) Oops just remembered I also have a Pot luck/Kris Kringle to prepare for work as well as a Toy to purchase to donate to the Salvation Army. (note my shopping list just got longer) Oh well I'll get through it...I always do and I work better under pressure....think I'll go have a home made shortbread cookie to try to get in the mood for this holiday season
