Poor Frodo

What a week. On Sunday at around 8:30 pm I noticed my cat acting weird underneath my desk where my ferret was as well. I picked up my ferret and was shocked when I saw his mouth covered in blood as well as his stomach and paw. I started bawling and brought him upstairs to my parents. My mom was bawling too. After calling a friend I decided to bring him to the Animal ER. All the way there I was crying thinking he was hemmoraging and getting ready to say goodbye since I was sure I was going to have to get him put down. They took him from me as soon as we got there. After a while and after I washed his blood off my hands they called me into the back exam room. The vet came in and said He is your ferret and you need to decide what's best for him (I though here comes the lecture on responsible pet ownership and how I should spend thousands of dollars to run tests) He said we will put him down if you want but we cleaned him up and the only thing wrong with him is he broke his nail. I couldn't believe it I asked why he was so non responsive and lathargic the vet replied that he had lost alot of blood. I replied so he's going to be fine the vet laughed and said yes. I said Oh good now I can take him home and kill the little trouble maker myself!!!! They bandaged him up and home we came. I had a followup visit with my vet and he is on antibiotics to prevent infection (good news here is he likes the medicine so I don't have to force feed it to him). So to recap 160.00 at the animal ER 60.00 for the vet visit and meds 30.00 for cab rides the little bugger has cost me 250.00 and I honestly couldn't be happier !!! So much for the new couch I was going to buy with the money I made working overtime.
