International Day 2006 Viva Portugal

The 2nd annual Venture International Day at work has come and gone...This year our team was Portugal. Being the only Portuguese person on the team I was the hunter of all portugese stuff. The stakes were huge...besides bragging rights for the next year the winning team got a paid day off and tickets to Wonderland. The competion this year was tough but I guess that's what happens when you have 50 type A personalities competing for a really good prize. In the picture above Ken (my team Leader) and Alexandra (my Assistant Team Leader) are dressed up in traditional folk dancing costumes.
While we didn't win the rumor has it we came in second and I was voted MVP on my team along with Alexandra and we each get 2 tickets to Wonderland. I think Ken said it best when he said it was like a wedding so much time goes into it for just a few hours of entertainment. I can honestly say I was glad when it was over. Only 1 year to go until the next international day but fear not Halloween is only months away and it's just as crazy and competative!!
